Very recently my computer caught a baddie, and the fix was, of course, a reformat. Unfortunately when I finished the process this afternoon, I realized that my computer had not sent backups of all the things it was supposed to and I missed this when I had double-checked before reformatting - I lost ALL of my photographs, fractals, Photoshop documents (including my brushes), and website files.

I was able to recover some things (the brush ZIPs, many website files, some completed Photoshops, and very few photos) from my webhosts, but most of it is gone for good. Losing the photos is the most painful, as most of them were never published and cannot be replaced/recovered, including the last photos I took in New Mexico.

I know dA periodically loses my brush files. I won't be able to fix any of them until I get my ZIP archives sorted out and all that good stuff, but I will be able to fix them eventually.
